Man accused of beating pregnant girlfriend, maternity ward staffers
A Fitchburg, Wis., man is accused of brutally beating his pregnant girlfriend and a number of staff members at a Maplewood hospital maternity ward. A complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court says Rufus Meyers, 32, hit his girlfriend, who is eight and a-half months pregnant, on the head with a glass vase and kicked her chest in her hospital room's bathroom.
