The babysitter who had been with the three River Falls girls the day they were killed said in court that she had no suspicion that their father might harm them, KSTP reports. And the River Falls police employee who took the call that day from the girls' mother said she was hysterical and "her ex-husband had called her and said that she could come home now, that he had killed the children." A judge ordered that prosectors have sufficient evidence to try Aaron Schaffhausen in the case.

A Minnesota mother says she found her daughter in the adult classified section of Backpage.com, KSTP reports. The woman says her only daughter Mary is using the popular website Backpage.com to advertise as a prostitute. The St. Paul City Council passed a resolution calling on Village Voice Media, owners of the classified ad site Backpage.com, to discontinue the adult section of their online classifieds.

Former Shattuck-St. Mary's teacher appears in LA court

Lynn Seibel has been charged with 17 counts of criminal sexual conduct in Minnesota stemming from the years that he was a drama teacher at the Faribault prep school. Police suspect he had inappropriate contact with students. But he is also charged in Los Angeles, where he lives and where police say they found child porn on his computer. He appeared in court on those charges Thursday and has pleaded not guilty. Minnesota authorities plan to let the California case run its course before bringing him back to the state.
