Two people were found dead inside a Blaine home after reports of multiple gunshots sparked a major police response Monday evening.

Police from several local departments and the Anoka County Sheriff's SWAT Team were sent to the home in the 600 block of 120th Ave. NE. on report of a domestic situation.

A man with a gun was reported to be at the scene, with multiple gunshots heard from inside after police arrived.

Two children were found at the scene and taken to safety, and attempts were made to contact those inside the home, which were ultimately unsuccessful.

Eventually police entered the home and found a man and woman dead inside.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says there are no suspects at large and no ongoing danger to the public.
