OSHA is investigating the death of a Minneapolis man at a worksite in Monticello.

The victim, identified as 51-year-old Brian C. Cain, was working at 8631 Eisele Avenue Northeast in Monticello when he was involved in an accident on August 4. The Wright County Sheriff's Office said Cain, who was working for Golden Electric, fell from a ladder and was unresponsive.

Cain was lying on the garage floor and suffering from an apparent head injury when deputies arrived. He was then transported to North Memorial Health Hospital, where he died the morning of August 16, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Two of Cain's co-workers witnessed him fall while they were working in the garage's attic, according to the sheriff.

An autopsy by the medical examiner found that Cain died of complications of blunt force head injuries following a fall.
