Man dies 4 days after shooting at St. Paul gas station

A 22-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a shooting in St. Paul last week. 

The shooting happened around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, with police arriving to the BP gas station on the 1300 block of University Ave. to find a gunshot victim who had sustained a life-threatening injury. 

St. Paul Police Department announced Monday that Dajuon Johnson, 22, of St. Paul, died of his injuries at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. 

The Pioneer Press reports that Johnson was shot in the neck and died just before noon Saturday. 

The shooting has been ruled a homicide – the city's 11th homicide of 2019 – and an investigation is ongoing. 

No arrests have been made and police are asking anyone with information related to the shooting to call 651-266-5650.
