A man returned to his home in Lino Lakes to find two people exiting his front door, and his son inside with wounds that would prove to be fatal.
The incident was reported at 2:36 p.m. Thursday, with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office saying deputies were called to the 6900 block of West Shadow Lake Drive.
"The adult male homeowner at a residence reported he arrived home and witnessed two individuals leaving out the front door and fled the scene," a news release said.
When he went inside, he found his adult son with life threatening injuries, and despite lifesaving measures from paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation, with limited information available about the victim or the suspects.
