Man dies after being hit by vehicle in St. Paul intersection

It's the third deadly vehicle-pedestrian crash in St. Paul this year.

A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in St. Paul early Thursday morning.  

St. Paul Police Department reports that the adult male was hit in the intersection of John Ireland Boulevard and Kellogg Boulevard around 6 a.m. St. Paul Fire Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. 

The vehicle involved was eastbound on Kellogg Boulevard at the time of the crash. The driver is cooperating with police and the driver isn't suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

The identity of the victim has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.

Thursday's incident is the third deadly vehicle-pedestrian crash in St. Paul this year, and the second in the last seven days. 

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection to the woman's death.
