A man was crushed to death by a light rail train in Minneapolis early Saturday morning, according to multiple reports.

The incident took place on the light rail platform at Stadium Village Station, located at 2301 University Avenue.

It happened just as a light rail was leaving the station, when the unidentified man fell onto the tracks between cars and was run over, KSTP reports.

The station says it's not yet clear what may have caused him to fall.
