The man who was reported as being critically injured after falling from rocks at Interstate State Park on Saturday has died from his injuries.
Responders were called to Interstate Falls in Taylor Falls at around 7:42 p.m. after a Nathan Darval, 39, of Hanover, fell from the rocks.
Lifesaving efforts were performed before he was transported to St. Croix Regional Medical Center, where he later died, the department announced Sunday.
The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says that Darval was navigating a rocky portion of the park off the trails when he fell.
The incident is still under investigation.
Six months ago, Minneapolis resident and University of Minnesota Student Mitchell Rognrud died in a rock climbing accident while also visiting Interstate State Park.
