Man dies after falling through skylight while working on roof
A man working on a roof of a west-central Minnesota home last week died when he fell through a skylight.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office, 63-year-old David Brutleg, of Henning, Minnesota, was working on a roof of a building north of Henning when he fell through a skylight that was covered by snow.
Brutlag fell approximately 20 feet. Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures but Brutleg died at Tri-County Health Care in Wadena.
The sheriff's office describe the incident as an "unfortunate accident."
Brutlag, a self-employed construction worker, was a graduate of Concordia College,Moorhead, according to his obituary. He leaves behind a wife and two adult children. Brutlag will be laid to rest on Friday, Dec. 27.
