Man dies after his mother finds him injured outside Barron County home

A 25-year-old man is being held in custody on charges of intentional homicide.

Police in Barron County, Wisconsin, have arrested a man in connection with another man's death on Sunday afternoon.

The victim, 23-year-old Garrett Macone, was found by his mother outside a home on the 1100 block of 27th Street in Chetek.

Responders arrived and pronounced Macone dead at the scene.

After conducting multiple interviews and reconstructing the scene, deputies arrested a 25-year-old man from Rice Lake late Monday evening.

He is being held at Barron County Jail on probable cause 1st degree intentional homicide, and is awaiting formal charges.
