Authorities are investigating a deadly stabbing at an Owatonna park.

The lead investigating office is the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), which released a report Monday saying that officers with the Owatonna Police Department were called to Dartts Park in northeast Owatonna at 5:17 p.m. Sunday where they found an unconscious man with "what appeared to be stab wounds."

An air ambulance was called to the scene, but EMTs pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending an autopsy by the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

Two knives were recovered at the scene, the BCA said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Owatonna Police Department at 507-444-3800 or dial 911.
