Man dies from gunshot wound at home in Medicine Lake

A man died from a gunshot wound at a home in the Twin Cities suburb of Medicine Lake on Sunday afternoon.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened on the 100 block of Peninsula Road around 12:40 p.m.

They had been called by bounty hunters who had been talking to the man from outside the house, when they heard a loud bang inside.

When responders arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Nobody else was injured in the incident.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

The man's identity will be released at a later stage by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
