Man driving stolen Mack truck hits multiple vehicles before pursuit ends in crash

The big rig was stolen out of Pine County and crashed in Steele County.

A man is in jail after being accused of fleeing from police through multiple counties in a stolen big rig. 

A 29-year-old man from Center City, Minnesota, is identified in a crash report from the Minnesota State Patrol that says he was driving a 1993 Mack truck that was stolen from Pine County. 

He's accused of driving the Mack and hitting three vehicles in the Twin Cities metro area, then continuing southbound on Interstate 35 and located by multiple law enforcement agencies near the Scott/Rice County line. 

At that point, authorities began pursuit, with the chase coming to an end when the suspect crashed into the center median on I-35 near Mile Post 33, near Owatonna. 

The driver is being held in the Steele County Jail on suspicious of third-degree DWI and receiving stolen property, according to jail records.
