The Minneapolis Fire Department employed a technical rescue team to help save a man who'd fallen approximately 40 feet from a cliff in Minneapolis early Sunday morning.
A 911 call reported that a man had fallen off a cliff off East River Parkway near the University of Minnesota campus, with the caller saying the person had slipped and fell 40 feet and then tumbled another 20-30 feet.
The cliff was too steep for firefighters so they called in a technical rescue squad that was able to get the man in a basket and lower him onto a boat on the Mississippi River.
