A man is gravely injured after a fall on the Minnesota side of Interstate State Park this weekend.
According to a news release from the Chisago County sheriff, the man fell from rocks in Taylors Falls on Saturday evening, prompting a response from multiple agencies, including the U.S. National Parks Service.
He was transported to the hospital with what authorities call "life threatening injuries," but no further details were provided.
An investigation into Saturday's incident is now underway.
This comes less than six months after a 23-year-old man died in a rock-climbing accident in Taylors Falls, also at Interstate State Park.
He was later identified as Minneapolis resident and University of Minnesota student Mitchell Rognrud.
