Man fatally shot in north Minneapolis early Thanksgiving morning
A disturbance in north Minneapolis early Thanksgiving morning left one person dead, according to Minneapolis police.
The disturbance happened just before 3 a.m. on the 2700 block of N. Dupont Ave., with police alerted to shots fired in the area and arriving in the area to the scene of numerous people running away.
Officers then found a man lying between two homes and suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, believed to be aged in his 20s, received medical aid from officers before paramedics took over, though he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A homicide investigation is underway. The scene was canvassed and possible witnesses were contacted.
The victim's identity hasn't been released and no arrests have been made.
