A man was fatally shot in St. Paul Monday afternoon, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying the shooter.
According to the St. Paul Police Department, someone called 911 around 1:30 p.m. Monday to report shots had been fired on the 1700 block of St. Clair Avenue.
When officers responded, they found a man sitting inside a vehicle. He was suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His identity hasn't been released.
His death marked the 14th homicide in St. Paul this year, which is fewer than the 19 killings by the same date in 2020.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made and police do not believe the shooting was random.
