Man fatally stabbed by another at mental health residence in West St. Paul

A man was fatally stabbed by another man at a "mental health residence" in West St. Paul, police said on Monday.

The incident was reported just before 4 a.m. at the home on the 1500 block of Christiansen Avenue, a West St. Paul PD press release states.

When police arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The suspected attacker was taken into custody by police, who say there is no danger to the public.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping West St. Paul PD with the investigation.

The victim is expected to be identified in a later release on Monday by the police department.
