Man found dead in Gull Lake near Grand View Lodge

A man was found dead in the water near a popular Minnesota resort on Wednesday. 

According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to Gull Lake around 7:06 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a body in the water, near Grassy Point on the north side of the lake near Grand View Lodge Spa and Golf Resort. 

Authorities have identified the victim as a 62-year-old Sartell man, but his name has not been released. 

His body was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Officer, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death. 

The incident remains under investigation.
