Minneapolis PD's homicide unit is investigating after a man was found dead in the common area of an apartment building.
The discovery was made after police responded to a report of a person shot on the 1900 block of 1st Avenue South, a couple blocks south of I-94 south of downtown Minneapolis.
The body was found in the common area of the building, with police saying that "this does not appear to be a random act of violence."
Police are following up on leads from the scene, but at this stage nobody is in custody.
If confirmed as a homicide once the victim's cause of death has been determined by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, it would be the fourth homicide in Minneapolis since last weekend.
