The man died of an apparent gunshot wound.

St. Paul police are investigating the city's 33rd homicide of the year after a man was found dead in the city's North End on Monday night.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of Larpenteur Avenue East just before 7 p.m. on a report of a person who was shot.

When they arrived, they found an adult man with an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating what led to the shooting, noting there was a second scene on the 100 block of Larpenteur Avenue West and they're trying to determine if that location had anything to do with the man's death.
