A man suspected of stealing a 1996 Honda Accord from a St. Paul auto repair shop, crashing the car and flipping it, was found a short time later naked in a bathtub of cold water, the Pioneer Press reports.

Officers found the 20-year-old Brooklyn Park man cooling down in the tub at a nearby friend's house after the Thursday afternoon theft – police suspected he was trying to cover up his "recent exertions," the newspaper noted. He had struck another vehicle in the crash at Minnehaha Avenue and Cypress Street, police said. The female driver of the other car had minor injuries, police said.

The man was booked on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation and auto theft, the Pioneer Press reports.
