Teen found shot in the head outside Target in Savage, MN

New information has been released about a victim found bleeding from the head outside a Target in Savage on Friday night. 

Savage Police Department says the victim was a 16-year-old boy who was shot in the head. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said Saturday. Police arrived to the Target parking lot on the 14000 block of Hwy. 13 and found the teen breathing and semi-conscious. 

What led to the shooting remains under investigation. 

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. His current condition is not known. 

"Police are actively working the investigation with the assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Prior Lake Police Department, Shakopee Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office," the release says.
