Man in fatal Carlton County crash identified, another hospitalized
A two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Carlton County has left one man dead and another in a Duluth hospital.
The Duluth News Tribune reports Todd Richard Nelson, 44, of Carlton was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that was reported about 1:35 p.m. at the intersection of County Roads 4 and 5 in Blackhoof Township, about 10 miles southwest of Cloquet.
The driver of the other vehicle, Randall Fred Palmi, 42, of Barnum was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, where he's in stable condition, the Tribune reports.
