Man injured when wife backs over him while he was snow blowing
A St. Augusta woman in a truck backed over her husband who was snow blowing the driveway Wednesday morning, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office says.
Sheriff's deputies and first responders were called to the home at 24800 21st Ave. in St. Augusta just before 10 a.m. where they found "numerous people" assisting the 62-year-old man.
According to the sheriff's office, the man was blowing snow in his driveway when his 61-year-old wife began to move the truck that was in driveway.
"As she was backing up the truck, her foot slipped and depressed the accelerator, causing it to accelerate backward down the driveway, striking her husband," the release says.
The man was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of "significant injuries."
The crash is still under investigation.
