A man died and another was injured in a shooting in Minneapolis Tuesday evening, police said.
At 8:04 p.m. Tuesday, Minneapolis police responded to a report of a shooting on the 2800 block of Fremont Avenue North, where they found a man, believed to be in his 20s, who had been shot.
The officers gave first aid and the man was taken to North Memorial Hospital in critical condition. He died at the hospital hours later.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release his identity.
Police say their preliminary investigation revealed the victim was standing in the area when the sound of gunshots was reported. He was hit and fell to the ground.
Another victim, who was located a short time after the shooting, suffered a graze wound from the incident.
