A man was killed in southeastern Minnesota in an accident involving a boom truck Monday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 12:15 p.m. at a house on Parkview Circle in Zumbrota, with the victim identified as 62-year-old James Mueller, of Pine Island.
According to Zumbrota Police Department, Mueller was 30-feet in the air operating the controls in the bucket of the boom truck owned by his company, Jim's Tree Service, when the boom arm broke off the truck.
An ambulance and air ambulance arrived shortly after, but Mueller was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is now under investigation with the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
