Man killed in early morning crash on Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis
One person has died after an early morning vehicle crash early Friday in Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis Police Department and Minneapolis Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle crash on the 2600 block of Cedar Avenue South at around 1:30 a.m.
Officials arrived to find the crash scene, and a man inside the vehicle who was in a critical condition. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and died a shortly after, according to MPD.
The Medical Examiner will release the victim's identity and cause of death in coming days.
Little is currently known about what caused the crash. MPD’s Traffic Investigations Unit and Crime Lab were sent to the scene to collect evidence.
