Man killed in Minneapolis apartment is city's 46th homicide of 2020
A man was fatally shot inside an apartment in Minneapolis early Friday morning, marking the city's 46th homicide of 2020.
According to Minneapolis PD, officers responded to a report of an altercation just before 4 a.m. at an apartment on the 1700 block of S. 3rd Ave. in the Stevens Square/Loring Heights neighborhood. Gunshots were also reported.
The responding officers found a man inside an apartment who'd been shot. He was gravely injured and without a pulse, police said.
Officers performed CPR and wound management on the victim until paramedics took over and transported him to Hennepin Healthcare, where he died a short time later.
No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate.
