A man died after being shot in south Minneapolis Tuesday evening.
Police were called to 19th Street East and Elliot Avenue, just north of East Franklin Avenue, at 5:15 p.m. on reports of shots fired.
Officers arrived to find a man in his 30s on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
He was gravely injured, showing no pulse or sign of breathing. CPR and lifesaving measures were carried out, but he was pronounced dead a short time later at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Nobody has been arrested for the killing, which is the 42nd in Minneapolis so far this year.
The victim's identity will be released in the coming days.
