Man killed in shooting outside Brooklyn Park market identified
The victim of a shooting outside a Brooklyn Park market has been identified.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Alameen Allah Shabazz, a 22-year-old from Robbinsdale, died of multiple gunshot wounds on June 22.
The shooting took place outside the Nice Family African Market at 7401 Regent Ave. in Brooklyn Park at around 9:48 p.m.
Witnesses told police that a male suspect sitting in a car shot at the victim, now identified as Shabazz, who was walking in front of the store.
Shabazz then got into his car with his girlfriend driving. Police found him unconscious and attempted lifesaving measures.
He died at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale a little less than an hour later.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
