Man killed in shooting Tuesday marks St. Paul's 27th homicide of 2020
Police are investigating the 27th homicide of 2020 in St. Paul after a man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to a home on the 900 block of Forest Street North around 1:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting, and on arrival police found a man who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Paul Fire paramedics.
No arrests have been made and a homicide investigation is underway, with a release from St. Paul Police Department noting that homicide investigators "are working to determine who was there and what led to the shooting."
"The department’s Forensics Services Unit will be processing the scene with the hope to find physical evidence that will tell the story of what led to the killing," the release said.
The victim's identity will be released following review by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
