Man killed when semi-truck touches power line in NW Minnesota
A truck driver died after an apparent electrical shock at a business near Detroit Lakes on Wednesday.
Joseph Boyle, 43, of Foley, was found in the parking lot of TEAM Industries in Audubon around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, the Becker County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Thursday.
Boyle was found near the back of a Northern Metal Recycling semi-truck that was parked with its hydraulic bed extension resting against an overhead powerline.
First responders declared Boyle dead at the scene.
The incident is still being investigated.
Boyle worked for Northern Metal's facility in Minneapolis, and Minnesota OSHA will be investigating his death, the Star Tribune says.
