Man who shot cougar had 'little doubt'
“I came out and saw a cougar come out of the grove and run into the ditch,” Bruce Ihlen told the Worthington Daily Globe. “Then it went into the culvert.”
A man who killed a cougar in southwest Minnesota over the weekend told the Pioneer Press that he shot the animal because children and horses lived nearby. It's unclear if that's an acceptable reason under Minnesota law. The DNR raised the possibility of legal action after hearing the initial reports and does not believe the animal posed any threat to the shooter.
