Man run over, killed by semi at Minneapolis scrap metal yard

A man was killed when he was run over by a semi truck at a scrap metal recycling yard in Minneapolis on Thursday morning.

According to Minneapolis PD's John Elder, the semi was leaving Re-Alliance Iron & Metal at 1508 2nd St. N when it ran over a man who police believe was doing business in the recycling yard. 

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died. 

The driver of the semi is cooperating with police.
