The man who was shot at Crave American Kitchen last weekend, sparking panic at the downtown Minneapolis bar, has been charged over another shooting.

Demilo Martin, 28, of Minneapolis, was one of two people shot on the rooftop patio of Crave on Hennepin Avenue last Saturday, July 13.

But on Friday, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office charged him with felon in possession after he was involved in a gunfight on June 15 that saw at least 50 shots fired.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said that Martin is "well-known to police."

"They did a fine job investigating the case and if we are successful in prosecuting him, he should be sentenced to a mandatory five years in prison," he said.

"In the meantime, Minneapolis police can continue investigating him for other violent crimes as well as identify a suspect in the restaurant shooting."

The shootout on June 15 was between several rival street gangs, with Martin a member of the Young N' Thuggin' street gang.

Police say Martin has been involved in or witnessed several recent gang-related shootings.

Police have still not found the responsible for the shooting at Crave.
