Man shot in north Minneapolis dies later in the hospital

A woman remains critical with gunshot wounds.

A man who was reported as being in a critical condition after a double shooting in Minneapolis Saturday evening has died from his injuries.

The update from Minneapolis Police Department said the man, believed to be in his 40s, died at North Memorial Medical Center after a reported shooting at 5:20 p.m. in the 3700 block of North 6th Street.

He was shot along with a woman in her 20s, who remains critical.

Police say when they arrived at the scene, they couldn't find any victims, but after speaking with people in the area, officers learned that two people had been shot and were being taken to the hospital.

A short time later, the pair arrived at North Memorial.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
