Man stabbed multiple times during altercation at hotel in Blaine

A man is in a serious condition in a hospital after he was stabbed multiple times in a fight at a Blaine hotel.

The incident was reported at 11:45 p.m. at the Asteria Inn and Suites at 9410 Baltimore St. NE., just off of Hwy. 65 in Blaine.

Police arrived to find a 42-year-old man from Robbinsdale with multiple stab wounds.

Witnesses told officers that the victim was involved in an altercation with two other men when the stabbing happened.

He was taken to a local hospital for emergency surgery, and is in a stable condition.

A 32-year-old man from Anoka has been taken into custody for probable cause 2nd-degree assault.

Police continue to investigate.
