Man stabbed to death in Barron County, girlfriend arrested

Police were called to a property on Saturday afternoon.

A woman has been arrested after a man was found stabbed to death in the backyard of a home in Barron County, Wisconsin on Saturday.

According to Turtle Lake Police Department, dispatch received a call at 4:23 p.m., with the caller reporting a woman had just stabbed her boyfriend in the 200 block of Soo Avenue East in Almena.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the backyard.

A short time later, officers found a woman who is believed to have been involved in the stabbing, and arrested her.

The incident is still under investigation by the Turtle Lake Police Department, Barron County Sheriff's Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol, but Turtle Lake Police Chief Al Gabe says there is no danger to the public.
