Man walking along the side of the road hit by truck in Maplewood

The person struck is a 68-year-old man from Hopkins.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash in Maplewood in which a truck struck a person on the side of the road. 

The crash report says a 1997 Ford Ranger was traveling south on Century Avenue at around 7:10 p.m. Saturday when it hit a pedestrian walking on the shoulder just south of 22nd Street North. 

The victim's condition is unknown and the only detail released so far is that he is a 68-year-old man from Hopkins. 

The driver of the pickup truck has been identified as a 56-year-old man from Maplewood. 

More information is expected to be released on Sunday afternoon.
