What's happening?

A suspect wanted over a shooting in south Minneapolis last month has been picked up in Florida.

A warrant for the charge of murder with intent was issued for Antwan Darnell Cosey, 37, Minneapolis police said on Sunday.

What's he accused of?

He's been linked to a homicide on the evening of Feb. 27 on the 700 block of East 18th Street, just south of downtown Minneapolis.

It was then that 42-year-old Frankie Golden was shot in the chest as he waited outside the building to visit his 9-month-old child, according to a criminal complaint.

While Golden was on his cellphone, Cosey is alleged to have approached him and ordered him to move out of the way.

The pair then argued, with Cosey then allegedly pulling a gun out of his waistband and shooting Golden.

How was he caught?

After interviewing witnesses and studying the scene, police were able to identify Cosey as the suspect.

But he'd fled the scene, and by the time Minneapolis police had identified him, he'd already left the state and traveled to Texas.

Florida police then stepped in to assist when it learned he was on a bus headed to the Florida panhandle.

He was then picked up at Greyhound bus station in Fort Walton Beach and is now being held in the Okaloosa County Jail.
