Man's body found in Brooklyn Park creek

Foul play is not suspected in the man's death.

Police are investigating the discovery of a body found in a creek in Brooklyn Park on Friday morning. 

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, officers received a report of a body in a creek at Brookdale Park near Shari Ann Lane. The call came in around 10 a.m. and when first responders arrived, they found the adult male dead in the creek. 

Shingle Creek runs through Brookdale Park, and is the nearest creek to Shari Ann Lane

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, but foul play isn't suspected. 

The man's identity and cause of death will be released at a later date by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
