Man's body found in Cloquet backyard

Police in Cloquet, northeastern Minnesota, have launched an investigation into a man's death on Friday.

The man's body was found in the snow in a "semi-wooded" back yard of a home on the 700 block of Poplar Avenue at around 2 p.m., after someone had called to police to report someone lying on the ground in the yard.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Cloquet PD says, with the man's cause of death set to be determined by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.

The death is being investigated by the Cloquet Police Department, which is asking for anyone with information to call Cmdr. Derek Randall at 218-879-1247.
