Police: 2 men arrested in connection with shooting at Myth nightclub
Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident at the Myth nightclub in Maplewood early Saturday morning, the Pioneer Press reports.
The suspects have been identified by authorities as Tony Chann, 28, of St. Pau,l and Gadelle Ferguson, 28, of Minneapolis.
Both Chann and Ferguson were arrested and booked on suspicion of second-degree assault, Maplewood police Sgt. Michael Nye said. The men are being held at the Ramsey County Jail.
One victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot in the leg about 2:15 a.m., Nye says. Police say the man got into an alleged verbal altercation with the two suspects as the club was closing.
KSTP reports officers responded to Myth around 2 a.m. for a report of shots fired.
The victim was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with non-life-threatening injuries, and was treated and released.
Myth nightclub is known for its huge dance floor, plush VIP suites and occasionally some trouble, according to a 2011 KARE 11 report.
City leaders have kept a watchful eye on the venue since it reopened with new management about two years ago.
