Crews braved frigid temps Wednesday night to put out an aggressive house fire on Lake Minnetonka.
Reports say the fire broke out on the Wayzata portion of the shore; there's no word yet on the possible cause or if anyone's been injured.
According to FOX 9, "multiple fire departments" responded to the blaze, which happened at a "home with an attached garage" on the 2700 block of Gale Road.
The home in question is believed to be at 2750 Gale Road, though this is unconfirmed at this stage. Hennepin County property records show it last sold for upwards of $5 million.
The home is near the Breezy Point area.
The incident happened as temperatures plunged Wednesday night, with wind chills in the Twin Cities expected to drop between 25 and 35 below.
Smoke from the fire was so great, it was picked up by National Weather Service radar:
We're deep in the most dangerous time of the year where house fires are concerned; according to the State Fire Marshal, "most home fires occur in the winter" due to increased use of heaters.
This is a developing story.
