Meteorologists' spring forecast for MN: Anything could happen

It'll be wetter here, though.

Weather officials are predicting warmer-than-average temperatures in much of the southern and eastern U.S. this spring ... but not in Minnesota.

Almost all of Minnesota (aside from the southeastern and northeastern corners of the state) has an equal chance of seeing temperatures that are above, below or average from April through June.

The tip of the North Shore and that small southeastern corner are each looking at slightly higher chances for warmer-than-normal weather.

Check out this map that breaks it down:

Regardless of temperatures, the map shows that Minnesota is expected to see wetter-than-normal weather this spring.

The entire state basically has a 40 percent chance of being above normal when it comes to precipitation. We're one of the few states that don't have an equal chance of being below normal, normal, or above normal when it comes to precipitation.

This could lead to some minor flooding this spring, officials said in a video explainer of the spring outlook.
