The weather for Halloween night is looking pretty good for the metro, forecasters say.

In the Twin Cities, the high could hit 50 degrees Thursday, with a few scattered showers early in the day, but it will be dry by trick-or-treat time, KARE 11 reports. The National Weather Service agrees, noting there is a 70 percent chance of rain for the metro on Thursday – but mainly before 8 a.m.

A chance of precipitation on Halloween night is a little higher in other parts of the state. Here are some Thursday night forecasts from the National Weather Service:

Ely: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 32.

International Falls: A slight chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Roseau: A slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Worthington: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.

Rochester: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Bemidji: A slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.

On Tuesday morning, a splash of wintry weather will hit much of the state, with rain mixing with snow. MPR's Paul Huttner calls it "a little slush" for the Twin Cities.

For the most part, snow won't accumulate, except a bit possibly in the west-central part of the state, KARE 11 reports. Worthington can expect a few flakes, WCCO reports.

Forecasters say the Twin Cities will hit a high of about 42 degrees on Monday after reaching 58 on Sunday.
