A minivan ended up partially submerged in Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. when the driver of the minivan suffered what the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board said was either a medical emergency, or was impaired at the wheel.
The van came off Lake Harriet Parkway at the north end of the lake, struck a jogger as it crossed the footpath, and then drove into the water.
Both the jogger and the driver were taken to an area hospital for evaluation, with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office saying both of them had non-life-threatening injuries.
The van meanwhile ended up about 20 feet from the shore, partially submerged in 3-4 feet of water.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
