Minivan turning off Highway 65 fatally strikes motorcyclist near Mora

A 40-year-old motorcyclist died in the crash.

One person died in a two-vehicle crash in east-central Minnesota Friday afternoon. 

The fatal collision happened just before 5 p.m. on Hwy. 65 north of Mora in Kanabec County, with the Minnesota State Patrol reporting that a 2007 Nissan Quest (minivan) traveling north on Hwy. 65 turned left to go on 9th St. N. when it collided with a Honda motorcycle that was going south on the highway. 

The motorcyclist was killed. The driver's name hasn't been released, but the State Patrol says the victim is a 40-year-old man from Mora. 

A 58-year-old Mora woman driving the minivan suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to First Light Hospital in Mora for treatment.
